Newly Released Epstein Email Involves Harvard Professor, Sparks Scrutiny
In an email dated March 10, 2014, Nowak wrote to Epstein, "our spy was captured after completing her mission." Epstein replied, asking, "Did you torture her," according to reports.
The emails do not clarify who or what the messages referred to, nor do they identify specific events, but the phrasing has drawn attention online, with some describing the correspondence as "disturbing."
Additional emails in the files show continued contact between Nowak and Epstein over several years, with references to private meetings and social gatherings involving prominent academics. One February 2014 document includes Nowak’s name and details about a planned trip, noting that an individual named Anna Yermakova would accompany him and outlining their seating arrangements on the plane.
Travel details indicate the pair were scheduled to fly from Boston to St. Thomas Island, near Epstein’s properties in the US Virgin Islands, and return two days later. Similar arrangements were documented for Nowak in 2012, with Epstein personally involved in the planning.
Another email from February 2014, sent by Epstein’s assistant Lesley Groff, stated, "Reminder Martin Nowak is asking if he can go to your island march 1."
